Fines of 8,000 euros for Matías Lesor and 15,000 euros for Panathinaikos BC were imposed by the Standing Committee for Combating Violence (DEAB) for the incidents that took place in the locker room after the fifth championship final against Olympiacos at SEF. In contrast, Jerian Grant, who had also been summoned to appear before the committee, was cleared of any charges.
The French center for the “Greens” was penalized for the altercation that arose with police officers shortly after the incident involving Kendrick Nunn and Tyreke Jones following their ejection.
It should be noted that Panathinaikos AKTOR was handed a one-game suspension by the DEAB for the incident involving the two players. In fact, the American guard was fined 50,000 euros for the incident with the Olympiacos center on the court. The penalty to be imposed on both players for their altercation by the ESAKE sports judge is still pending.
It should be noted that a few days ago, the ESAKE sports judge had imposed a total of three games during which the “Greens” would have to play behind closed doors, due to the incidents that took place during the Stoiximan GBL Finals series, while the DEAB added another game to be played behind closed doors.
