After stepping down as head coach of the French national team—14 full years later—Didier Deschamps is now a free agent.
The 57-year-old coach has spent his entire career coaching his country’s national team, with outstanding results, and for this reason, there is no shortage of suitors interested in his services. His long tenure as France’s head coach has made him particularly sought after.
According to reports, the Turkish national team, which is currently undergoing a rebuilding phase, has made Desamb its top priority, submitting an official offer for him to take over the team. The Turkish side attempted to persuade him to take on this new challenge.
The Frenchman, of course, declined, emphasizing that he wants to enjoy his free time before diving headfirst back into work. For now, he prefers to keep his distance from his coaching duties.
