Following the sale of Ryan Maeh, Omonia has set the bar high for his successor, and one of the names at the top of their list is that of Eddie Salcido.
He is a 24-year-old Italian soccer player who has played for OFI for the past two years, with whom he won the Cup last season and did not renew his contract, making him a free agent.
With the Cretans, he made 67 appearances, scored 19 goals, and recorded 5 assists. In the past, he also played for Hellas Verona, Bari, Spezia, Eldense, and Genoa—where he came of age and “forced” Inter to spend 10 million euros to sign him in 2019.
Salsido’s situation is not an easy one, and the “Greens” are well aware of this, as they have compiled a list of center forwards and hope to soon settle on the… right choice.
