“A very good performance, a very disappointing result. It’s hard to say anything more after a game like this. It wasn’t our best performance, but we’re simply taking steps forward. I believe we can play much better and be more effective. Maybe we need to work much harder than our opponents. I respect our opponent; they have quality and experience, but we’re focusing on ourselves. The players gained confidence. We’ll give it our all. For me, the performance was very good. It was what we’d planned; we just didn’t finish our chances. Better finishes will come. I can see how the team is working. For me, it’s just a matter of time.”
Rubén Sayés
“My congratulations to our opponent; they made the game very difficult for us. Thanks to the team’s character, we managed to salvage a point in the end. Once we conceded the goal, we started having doubts and sitting back. On the positive side, we’re scoring goals; we need to work on managing the game. The fact that we haven’t kept a clean sheet in most games also has to do with the different circumstances of each match. In some cases, it was due to a lapse in concentration. Today’s game suited our opponent better.”
