AEK has successfully concluded yet another important deal, having reached an agreement with Luka Jović to extend his contract through the summer of 2029.
The Serbian, who was the club’s leading scorer last season (21 goals across all competitions), is expected to become the highest-paid player in the league, while the buyout clause has also doubled, which any team wishing to acquire the 28-year-old forward from the Yellow-and-Blacks will have to pay.
Specifically, the buyout clause has now risen from 10 million euros to the staggering sum of 20 million euros; it should be noted that if a team is found willing to pay this amount, AEK will give a small percentage of the money to Jović himself, based on the agreement signed by both sides when they reached a deal in the summer of 2025.
