Ricardo Sa Pinto spoke about Pafos’s away match against Atalanta tomorrow (October 15, 10:00 p.m.), as part of the opening round of the Conference League’s League Phase.
“It’s our first game against a big team with a long history in Europe. They dream of winning the tournament, but we’ve been doing well in Europe in recent years. This team has an experienced coach, but we’ll fight hard in every match—we have nothing to lose, and we’ll fight for a positive result, just as we do in every game. What I want is for my players to enjoy this trip. We play every game to win, no matter who the opponent is.”

“It’s always nice to hear good things said about you, as the Atalanta coach did. It would be great if we saw a competitive match tomorrow. We want to show character and have a good game plan. We don’t need to feel any pressure. We always believe we can win, and that’s what we’re going for. We respect Atalanta, but we want to win.”
“I won’t discuss our strategy against Atalanta, but we’ll be facing a team that has two outstanding players in every position. We expect them to be a strong team throughout the entire match. Their physical attributes are very strong, and I’ve noticed that in every game they’ve played. We have to be careful when we lose the ball because they’re dangerous on the counterattack; they have good shooters, they’re strong, and we have to stay focused throughout the entire game. They may not be at the level they want to be, but they’re always dangerous. We have to play a perfect game.”
