The team’s president, Petros Savva, referring to the efforts made over the summer to upgrade the club both on the field and in terms of organization.

At the same time, he kept a low profile ahead of the new season, emphasizing that the team has essentially been built from scratch and therefore needs time and patience to develop cohesion.
Finally, he issued a call to the “black-and-green” fans, setting a goal of selling 500 season tickets before the opening match of the Cyprus League by Stoiximan.
In detail:
“Friends of Olympiacos
From the very beginning, we’ve had one goal: to do everything in our power to raise the bar for our Olympiacos and build a team worthy of its great history.
A history that includes, among other things, three First Division championships—and which places on us the responsibility to work every day with seriousness, ambition, and, above all, respect for the Club and its fans.
This past summer, we made a major effort at all levels. We substantially strengthened the competitive roster while also taking steps to improve the team’s day-to-day operations and functioning.
The acquisition of a new bus for the team’s travel, as well as a new, modern van—after many years— to transport sports equipment and meet the needs of the soccer division, are part of this effort. At the same time, our efforts to build a sports center—one of our biggest goals for the future of Olympiacos—continue, with our current focus on securing land from the government. At the same time, we must all keep in mind that this is a new team, which was essentially built from scratch.
With so many new faces, it takes time, hard work, and patience for the team to gel. It can’t be 100% ready in just one month. That’s why we’re moving forward with a level head and humility, without grand statements or exaggerations. We believe in the work being done and in this team’s potential, knowing that it will take time to reach the level we all want.
We will continue to work every day and do everything in our power to see Olympiacos progress and raise its level of play.
Now, just before the start of the season, we need your support as well. Our goal is to sell more than 500 season tickets by opening day. Together, we can achieve this and send a strong message of support to our team and players before the first official game of the new season.
Olympiacos needs its fans by its side—through thick and thin—from the very first matchday, from the very first minute.
We’re waiting for you to join us.
For our Olympiacos!”
