With a clear statement that leaves no room for misinterpretation, Ivan Savvidis sent his own message regarding PAOK and his future with the club.
Responding to the president of the Euxine Club of Kozani, Kostas Sanidis, the powerful figure behind the “two-headed eagle of the north” expressed his gratitude for the support and emphasized that he has no intention of selling either PAOK or the values it represents.
“I am not selling, nor will I ever sell, PAOK, my loyalty, my honor, or my Pontic soul,” he stated emphatically, while asking for “a little patience and time” and declaring that he will emerge even stronger.
Konstantinos Sanidis’ message to Ivan Savvidis
Dear President, good evening!
The radical changes taking place at PAOK FC are raising high expectations among its proud supporters. It is clear that the team is raising its level of play and experiencing great moments, which will become even more evident as the season progresses, while at the same time, a host of its young players are already gracing the ranks of Europe’s top clubs.
The Pontic Greek community would undoubtedly be experiencing similar moments today if those who had the power to make decisions back then had also had a vision for it. You know this better than anyone, having endured—and continuing to endure even today—ingratitude and ingratitude from various “quarters.”
We are saddened, dear president, and we will not forget, because we deeply believe that the existence of our inspired leader— with unique Pontic sensibilities, a spirit of generosity, and an immense contribution to the country—one who would have surely led us out of the stagnation we are experiencing today and onto the path of redemption.
We will continue to set goals and strive with the same faith to achieve them. God is great and is with us, and we are with you.
With deepest respect,
Kostas Sanidis, President of the Euxine Club of Kozani
Ivan Savvidis’s response to Konstantinos Sanidis
Kostas, thank you! God is great; I will emerge even stronger. I am not selling—and I will never sell—neither PAOK nor my faith, nor my honor, nor my Pontic soul. It just takes a little patience and time. Thank you; I know you’re with me and close by. Always a friend, I.S.
