The president of the APOEL Association, Costas Schizas, gave an interview to “Super Sport 104.0.”
He discussed investment plans, the presentation of the 100th-anniversary commemorative album, and the team’s performance on the field.

Regarding the event to present the commemorative album marking APOEL’s 100-year history: “It’s a difficult task in a challenging venue, but we’ll do our best. The commemorative album is ready and will be presented on Monday; those attending the event will be able to purchase the two books on APOEL’s history, spanning a century of great battles and sacrifices. APOEL’s National Policy is a great legacy. A legend isn’t born—it’s made, and APOEL was forged through its journey and its struggles. All of the club’s historic moments—in soccer and all other sports—are documented. Everything is recorded.”
Regarding the issue with the investor: “There’s nothing more to it, and I can say this directly and publicly because there has been speculation, but at the end of the day, APOEL—the club, the company, and the investor—will come to an agreement where they need to.”
Regarding the club’s headquarters: “Efforts are being made to have it completed before November 8.”
On the team’s performance: “As is always the case with a new coach and players, patience is needed. I’m keeping an eye on the team. There have been some circumstances; APOEL could have had more points or fewer. I believe that during this break, efforts are being made to rebuild the team and make it what our fans want it to be for the 100th anniversary. You only experience a 100th anniversary once. We won’t experience it again. APOEL has been a pioneer and a leading force since its earliest years.”
On Andreas Stylianou, widely regarded as APOEL’s greatest player in the club’s history: “A towering figure—I can say the same. But in other eras, there were others as well. For example, I can’t forget Andreas and the Pantziaras family,” he said, adding that there were other top players as well.”
