The “showdown” between Ioannis Alafouzos and Vangelis Marinakis for the presidency of the Stoiximan Super League ended without a winner, as the two candidates for the presidency of the league’s organizing body ended in a tie.

With the final vote tally of 7-7 in the election, a new election will be held on a date to be determined shortly.

Yiannis Alafouzos’s candidacy for the presidency was supported by Panathinaikos FC, as well as AEK, PAOK, Levadiakos, Atromitos, Kifisia, Panetolikos, and Heraklis.

Vangelis Marinakis, the outgoing president of the League whose term is coming to an end but who is running for re-election, received votes from Olympiacos FC, as well as Aris, OFI, Volos, Atromitos, Asteras AKTOR, and Kalamata.
