Olympiacos is in the market to sign a quality midfielder, with the "Red-and-Whites" evaluating several candidates in order to settle on the best possible choice.
One of the names high on the Piraeus club’s list is that of Remo Froiler. In fact, this is more than just a matter of interest, as talks between the two sides are at an advanced stage, and Olympiacos aims to move aggressively to finalize the transfer.

A key factor in the deal is that the 34-year-old Swiss midfielder is now a free agent after leaving Bologna, which allows the “Red-and-Whites” to negotiate directly with him regarding the terms of his contract. Froyler is capable of playing in all midfield positions and can provide several options in this crucial area.
Froiler has extensive experience at the top level of European soccer and is coming off a busy season in Italy. Last season, he made 40 appearances for Bologna, scoring one goal and providing two assists.
He was part of Switzerland’s World Cup squad, emerging as one of the team’s most pivotal players on their run to the quarterfinals of the tournament. He started all six of the team’s matches and was substituted only in the closing minutes of the games against Qatar and Argentina.
Now, it remains to be seen whether the advanced discussions will lead to a final agreement, with Froiler being one of the players Olympiacos is strongly considering for the midfield.
