Buoyed by his impressive debut at the Cincinnati Open, Stefanos Tsitsipas returns to the courts in Ohio tonight for a particularly challenging second-round match (8:00 p.m.).
The 28-year-old Greek tennis player got off to an ideal start at the Masters, defeating Valentin Royer 2-0 in sets (7-6, 7-5) over Valentin Roger on Friday night (August 14), after an hour and 58 minutes of play. Tsitsipas showed promise early on, and although he had to navigate two close sets, he found the right moves at the crucial moments and secured his spot in the next round.

His next opponent is Félix Auger-Aliassime, in a match that is highly anticipated. The Canadian is the No. 2 seed, but Tsitsipas has the historical edge in their head-to-head matchups.
The two players have faced each other 10 times on the tour, with the Greek having claimed seven victories. In fact, in their last eight matches, Tsitsipas has prevailed in seven, a fact that gives him added confidence ahead of their upcoming clash.
