Kostas Sloukas spoke to the GBL website about the start of the new season, ahead of the Super Cup games, and said:
“The new league is expected to be very competitive, as in addition to Panathinaikos and Olympiacos, PAOK and Aris have stepped up their game by making significant investments, while AEK also maintains strong momentum. This is very encouraging, as it will further increase public interest. Our own ambitions—and those of our fans—are always high, and our goal can be none other than winning the title.”

The Panathinaikos captain added: “We have a very strong roster and an excellent coach, but it will take time and a lot more work to reach the desired level. As for the Super Cup, it’s still early and no team is ready yet, but we’re determined to fight for it. I wish all my teammates a great season and good health.”
