Shocking and appalling news has emerged from France regarding a very serious allegation of sexual harassment made by a female Marseille fan.
The fan in question was at the “Velodrome” last Sunday to watch the home game between “Les Phocéens” against Paris FC in Ligue 1, when she was sexually assaulted during the first half by a man sitting in the same section as her.

“I felt something touching me. I saw the man walking near me and he sat down behind me. It happened a second time, then a third, always with that feeling of being touched. I thought the guy couldn’t see anything and that he had come down to watch the action.
I sat back down and felt traces on my T-shirt and the back of my pants. Someone had definitely assaulted me. I felt dirty; it was awful. I couldn’t even go to the restroom to wash myself off. “The world is crazy…,” she said in a video she posted on social media.
For its part, Marseille officials issued a statement making it clear that they offer their full support to the woman and that an investigation has been launched in collaboration with the relevant authorities to identify the perpetrator.
