At the Vallelunga Circuit in Rome, where the semifinals of the 2026 NASCAR EURO SERIES will take place on the weekend of September 19–20, Vladimir Tziortzis continues his campaign, chasing the title in the OPEN class and pushing for a top-three finish in the V8GP class.
The race in Italy is the penultimate round of this year’s season, where points are worth double—as will, of course, be the case in mid-October (Oct. 17–18) at the final race in Belgium, where both the titles and the final standings in the two classes will be decided.
“I feel ready to give it my all to achieve my goal of distinction, aiming to climb as high as possible—and, if possible, to the very top, where my big dream lies,” notes Vladimiros Tziortzis, adding: “I’m determined and committed to earning as many points as possible in Italy so that I can go into the final in Belgium in the best possible position.”
The Cypriot driver, after the first four races of 2026 in Spain, France, Great Britain, and the Czech Republic, is currently in 5th place in the overall standings of the OPEN class, trailing the leader by a small margin (ed. note: he is 33 points behind Switzerland’s Thomas Toffel). In the V8GP class, he is 11th, but—based on the current standings—he could climb quite high in the rankings.
As for the schedule, on Saturday morning (9/19) the qualifying rounds and Super Pole will take place, first for the V8GP and then for the OPEN class, while — in the same order — the first races in both categories will take place in the afternoon. The action will continue at noon on Sunday (September 20) with the second race of the OPEN category, followed by the V8GP race.
