During this competitive season, Christodoulides also won the bronze medal at the Commonwealth Games in Glasgow and placed fifth at the Tbilisi Grand Slam.

Petros’s Rise in the World Rankings
Christodoulides’ progress is also reflected in the World Rankings. Having finished 2025 ranked No. 62 in the world in the -66kg division—after a year in which he climbed more than 100 spots—he continued with the same momentum into 2026. He is now ranked No. 27 in the world with 1,450 points, having climbed another 35 spots since the start of the year.
With his sights set on qualifying for the 2028 Olympic Games in Los Angeles, Petros Christodoulides continues his efforts with significant support by his side.
“The support I receive from Allwyn Cyprus and Charalambides Christis is crucial in enabling me to continue my efforts and pursue my goals. At the same time, I want to thank the Federation, the KOA, and the KOE, as well as Pavlos Kontidis’s #TowardsLA program, which have been standing by me. I’m continuing with the same goal and will give it my all to get where I want to be,” said Petros Christodoulidis.
