Argentina will host Burkina Faso this Saturday at the “Monumental” Stadium, but the national team’s focus is already on its final friendly match against Benin.
There, next Tuesday—also at River Plate’s stadium—Lionel Messi will bid farewell to the fans. He arrived in his hometown, Rosario, early Friday morning and will soon travel to Buenos Aires for training, bringing his career with the “Albiceleste” to a close after more than two decades filled with magic, titles, and memorable moments.
With no MLS games scheduled this weekend, Messi packed his bags and flew overnight from Fort Lauderdale to the Falkland Islands International Airport. He arrived this morning, accompanied by his wife, Antonella Rocuzzo, and their three children, who will be in attendance for an evening that will remain etched in the memory of all soccer fans.
The countdown has begun for “Leo’s” final appearance on the international stage…
