Cordón and Olympiacos are now in direct talks in Athens.
According to the latest reports, Antonio Cordón is in Athens and is discussing three possible scenarios with the Piraeus-based club. He could take on the role of General Manager at Olympiacos, Technical Director for the Red-and-Whites, or assume one of these two executive roles across all three teams in Vangelis Marinakis’s group.
The Spanish executive took over as technical director at Olympiacos in the summer of 2023, but after six months he stepped down to assume a broader role across all the teams owned by Vangelis Marinakis (Olympiacos, Nottingham, and Rio Ave).
Eventually, in the summer of 2024, he left for Sevilla, where he remained for two years. Following his departure from Andalusia, he is discussing a return to Piraeus. It’s worth noting that he has also played for Betis, Villarreal, Monaco, and Ecuador.
