It was already known, and now it's official!
APOEL announced an agreement with Norway’s IK Start for the transfer of Nikola Koutsakos, who is leaving after 16 years.
The club’s management bid farewell and thanked the Cypriot forward, noting that it retains a 15% sell-on clause.
The official announcement reads as follows: “APOEL announces the transfer agreement with IK Start for the transfer of our player, Nikolas Koutsakos.
From a young age, Nikolas followed the path through our academies and wore the blue-and-yellow jersey with dedication, hard work, and commitment.
APOEL’s management believed in his abilities and on-field value and invested in him. Just a few weeks after extending our professional partnership, an offer came in from abroad.
The management, with APOEL’s best interests as its top priority, but at the same time taking into account the player’s own desire to spread his wings and continue his career abroad, decided to negotiate, work out the details, and ultimately accept the transfer offer.
Nikola, thank you for everything you’ve given to APOEL.
APOEL’s door will always remain open to you.
We wish you every success in this new chapter of your career.
*APOEL will retain a 15% resale percentage of the player’s rights.”
