The start of the new season for the Cleveland Cavaliers will have a European flavor, who have decided to cross the Atlantic and hold the main part of their training camp in Andalusia.
The “Cavs” will be based in Fuengirola, Málaga, from September 30 through October 5, specifically at the facilities of “The Embassy,” a state-of-the-art, high-end facility designed to meet the needs of professional athletes.
This is an unconventional choice for an NBA team and, at the same time, demonstrates that the European market is gaining an increasingly prominent place in the plans of American organizations. Cleveland wants to take advantage of these days away from home not only to work on the court but also to “bond” the team ahead of a demanding season.
The @cavs will hold their #NBA preseason in Spain: they’ll set up camp at the “Santuario” created by @JmCalderon and Berni Rodríguez https://t.co/QIDdnYxt6L
