The final spot in the Champions League group stage went to Slovan Bratislava.
Yaya Touré’s team defeated Celje 2-1 in extra time on the road and advanced with a 3-2 aggregate score, returning to the competition after a two-year absence.
An incredible lob by former Panathinaikos forward Andraž Sporar, in the 18th minute opened the scoring, with the Slovenians—for whom Benjamin Verbič played— equalizing with a penalty kick by Seslar in the 34th minute.
In the end, the match was decided in extra time, with a spectacular goal by Martines in the 100th minute securing the Slovaks’ advancement.
