Omonia has set its sights on Tasos Bakasetas, with the Nicosia-based “Greens” interested in acquiring him on loan from Panathinaikos.
The Greek international midfielder is not part of Jakob Nistrup’s plans, and both sides are seeking a solution for his future. Omonia has expressed a strong desire to sign him, and talks with Panathinaikos are currently underway.
The main issue concerns the financial terms, as Panathinaikos is expected to cover the majority of Bakasetas’ contract, while Omonia will contribute a smaller amount. The two sides are continuing their discussions, and the existing difference is not considered insurmountable.
Meanwhile, interest in the 32-year-old has also emerged from a team in the Arabian Gulf, though no official offer has been made so far.
