From the excitement of his first goal in a Dortmund jersey to the anxiety that followed—all within a few minutes— Yiannis Konstantelias had the Westphalians on the edge of their seats.
The Greek attacking midfielder felt discomfort in the knee of his left leg, and the sight of him leaving the field was particularly alarming. Konstantelias left the field limping and being supported by teammates, with Marcel Sabitzer coming on to replace him.

The moment that caused the most concern was precisely the way in which the 23-year-old star left the field, just a short time after scoring his first goal in a Dortmund jersey. Now, everyone is anxiously awaiting the tests he will undergo immediately to determine how serious the problem with his knee is and whether there is cause for concern regarding a prolonged absence.
In fact, Konstantelia’s condition did not leave Dortmund coach Niko Kovac, who appeared clearly concerned about his player’s injury at the time of the substitution and tried to reassure him.
Until the medical examination provides a clear picture, anxiety is running high among the Westphalians, who are waiting for news about Konstantelia with bated breath.
