The APOEL Association’s Annual General Meeting was held at the Pavilion and made… headlines.
Initially, there was a plot twist regarding the resignation of the current board of directors, as the president, Kyriakos Zivanaris, had previously stated. Specifically, as he explained, it was decided that the board would remain in place until the agreement with Savvas Liasis’s investment group is finalized.
Regarding the outline of the agreement, the president emphasized in his speech that it ensures the leading role that APOEL must play.
Another revelation was that one million euros had been secured from investors to pay off debts. These investors will participate in the new company to be created by the investment group that will take over the soccer team.
In addition, the president revealed that the renovation of the club’s headquarters is well underway, and the goal is to have it fully ready in time for the celebrations marking the club’s 100-year history. It should be noted that the full schedule of celebrations will be announced on July 26.
