The curtain has fallen on Aris’s partnership with Yannick Gomis, as both sides have mutually decided to end their collaboration.

This development now paves the way for AEL, which is reportedly interested in signing him and is evaluating the experienced forward, with the coming days expected to be decisive.

Here is the full text of the announcement: “Aris Limassol announces the termination of its contract with Yannick Gomis by mutual consent.

A fan favorite at Aris, “Yiannis,” joined our team in the summer of 2022 and played a significant role in winning the 2022–23 league title, as well as to the team’s participation in the UEFA Europa League group stage during the 2023–24 season.

During his four years with Aris, Gomis played in a total of 142 matches, scoring 41 goals and providing 18 assists.

In the recently concluded 2025–26 season, he made 28 appearances, scoring four goals and providing three assists.

During his time with Aris, the Senegalese forward scored crucial goals and was one of the team’s two scorers in the club’s first-ever European match.

Beyond being a great soccer player, Yannick Gomis was an exemplary professional and stood out for his character—a trait that made him particularly beloved by the team and its fans.

Yannick Gomis may be leaving Aris, but he will always remain a special member of the “green” family.

Thank you for everything, Yannick. We wish you all the best in the next chapter of your career.”
