Jordan Henderson has been ruled out for the remainder of this year’s 2026 World Cup, after England advanced to the quarterfinals with a heroic 3-2 victory over Mexico at the “Azteca.”
The former Liverpool captain and current Brentford midfielder tried to climb over the advertising boards as he was leaving the area where the “Three Lions” in front of the stands, slipped, and fell awkwardly to the ground.
During the fall, he injured his wrist and had to be carried off the field on a stretcher; with the injury he sustained being severe enough to require surgery and sideline him for the remainder of this year’s World Cup.
