Levante may have believed in a miracle when they pulled one back, but Barcelona, led by the impressive Yamal and Adeyemi, put an end to their hopes with a 4-2 victory.
The “Blaugrana” did whatever they wanted in the match, and after taking a three-goal lead early on, they simply let up—and paid the price— but they knew how to prevent Levante from believing in a miracle.
It was the Catalans’ first league match without a clean sheet, following the goal they conceded to Feyenoord at the start of the Champions League group stage.
Espart opened the scoring with a beautiful finish in the 5th minute, Yamal made it 2-0 in the 19th minute, and in the 48th minute, he was again the one who won the penalty and converted it to make it 3-0 for Flick’s team.
At that point, the team let up a bit; a mistake by Esparto put the home team back in the game, with Romero pulling one back in the 79th minute, while in the 88th minute, Brugge narrowed the gap to 2-3.
Antegemi took matters into his own hands to finish off Levante and the game; with a solo effort, once again “forgetting” his position and doing whatever he wanted, he set the final score at 2-4 in the 90’+3’ minute.
