By all accounts, this is set to be Antonio Rüdiger’s final season with Real Madrid.
The 33-year-old center back is currently under contract with “Los Blancos” through the summer of 2027, and, according to reports, it is unlikely that he will extend his contract with Real, as the Madrid club intends to revamp its defensive line and invest in younger options for the future.
According to reports, the ideal replacement for Real Madrid is Jakobo Ramon of Como. The 21-year-old Spaniard is a product of the Real Madrid academy and has been playing for Cesc Fàbregas’s team since last summer, causing his market value to skyrocket.
However, his return to Madrid won’t cost a fortune, as Real Madrid had planned ahead and included a fairly affordable buyback option in Ramón’s contract, a fact that keeps the possibility of his return to the Spanish capital open.
Real Madrid are preparing to part ways with Antonio Rüdiger when his contract expires next summer.
The German center-back is not expected to be offered another contract extension at the Santiago Bernabéu.
