AEK is flying to England for its matches against Shakhtar and Manchester City, with the flight’s pilot wishing the team’s players the best of luck for their two matches in the Champions League group stage.
“We have a very easy mission here. To get you safely to London. Your mission after that is to bring us back two wins. That’s the hardest part,” was the pilot’s brief but clear message to the AEK delegation.

As a reminder, AEK faces Shakhtar Donetsk on Wednesday at 10:00 at Stamford Bridge, and next Tuesday they’ll play Manchester City again in the same competition. The team will remain in England during these days, having requested that the Super League not schedule a match for the upcoming weekend.
