Reports from Portugal as well as from the media in Thessaloniki are bringing the name of Gustavo Varela to the forefront for PAOK.

According to these reports, PAOK is interested in signing the son of its former player, Fernando—who plays as a forward and is owned by Benfica—on loan.

Last year, Gustavo Varela played on loan at Gil Vicente, where he scored seven goals and provided three assists in 33 appearances. He has now returned to Benfica and is looking for the next step in his career.

While his father was with the team, Gustavo Varela was also a member of PAOK’s youth academy.
