Rodri has made up his mind and wants to continue his career at Barcelona. The 30-year-old Spanish midfielder has reached an agreement with the “Blaugrana,” who, in turn, will need to come to terms with Manchester City to finalize the deal.
According to “Mundo Deportivo,” negotiations between the two clubs are in the final stages, even though City rejected the initial offer of 45 million euros. Barcelona has not given up, and it is emphasized that this major transfer is only a matter of time before it is finalized.
In fact, the Catalan media outlet is reporting a deal worth 55 million euros, and this amount could increase with bonuses. Specifically, the report states, among other things: “Rodri’s
signing with Barcelona is getting closer and closer to being officially finalized. The club and the player have already reached an agreement, and talks with Manchester City are in their final stages.
The deal includes a fixed fee of approximately 55 million euros plus add-ons, which could be offset by a player swap. Some details are still pending, preventing an official announcement. Negotiations are in their final stages, as the significant gap between City’s demands and Barcelona’s initial offer has been bridged.”
Rodri left Atlético Madrid in 2019 and transferred to the Premier League and City. So, after seven years, the time has come for him to return.
