Cyril Desers was suspended for three matches following his ejection from the Panathinaikos vs. PAOK game. The Nigerian forward, who had entered the game as a substitute just a short while earlier, pushed Michailidis in an unprovoked act in the 71st minute of the match.
The “Greens,” however, do not intend to let the matter rest and are expected to file an appeal, with the aim of reducing the 32-year-old forward’s suspension.

Desers has started the season in excellent form so far, following his months-long absence, scoring four goals. If the suspension stands, he will miss Panathinaikos’ next three matches, which are, in order: against Kifisia at OAKA for the Stoiximan Super League, against Panetolikos at OAKA for the Stoiximan Super League, and against Kifisia at Leoforos for the Superbet Greek Cup.
