Olympiacos moved quickly to sign a player who will be crucial for its upcoming season. By signing Embaï Ediay, who will join Sasha Vezenkov on the “Red-and-Whites’” forward line.
He is taking the spot in the roster previously held by Alec Peters, who has left for Milan. However, the Senegalese star has completely different attributes and brings a completely different set of skills to Giorgos Bartzokas and the style of play he wants to see on the court.

With the signing of Ediai, all the outstanding issues for the Piraeus-based team regarding next season are gradually being resolved. Of course, this doesn’t mean there won’t be any further signings at Olympiacos or that no players will leave the current roster. In any case, at every position, Coach Bartzokas has plenty of options that fully meet his expectations for what he wants to see on the court.
As mentioned earlier, however, it’s possible that by the time preseason training begins, Olympiacos’ depth chart may differ from what it is right now.
