Argentina is still basking in the glory of its epic 3-2 victory over Egypt, but the country’s soccer federation has found itself in serious trouble.
According to reports that have shaken the world of soccer, the FBI is immediately launching an investigation into the Argentine Football Association, which is accused of fraud and money laundering amounting to 300 million euros.
Specifically, the FBI will look into actions taken by the Association on U.S. soil, with various media outlets around the world describing the news as a scandal —especially since the 2026 World Cup is still in the works and Argentina is pushing hard for back-to-back titles, following its 2022 victory.
