The second round of the election to select the Super League president is scheduled for 2:00 p.m. today.
In the first round of voting, two weeks ago, there was a 7-7 tie between Yiannis Alafouzos and Vangelis Marinakis, with the Hellenic Football Federation (EPO) abstaining.
The powerful figure at Panathinaikos FC had been supported by AEK, PAOK, Levadiakos, Heraklis, Panetolikos, and Kifissia, while the Olympiacos FC executive was supported by Aris, Asteras Tripolis, Atromitos, OFI, Volos, and Kalamata.
It remains to be seen whether there will be any shift in the balance of power that had been established.
During this two-week period between the two elections, the duties of president are being carried out by Katia Koxenoglou, who until recently served as the League’s vice president and is currently vice president of Atromitos FC.
