On Thursday evening (August 28), OFI celebrated its historic advancement to the League Phase of the Europa League, with the Cretans defeating CSKA Sofia 2-0 in Bulgaria and “sealing” their advancement with an aggregate score of 5-0!
After the final whistle, Michalis Bousis took to the field and joined the players and coaching staff, celebrating this historic moment for the Cretans with all his heart!

In fact, OFI’s administrative leader announced to the players that they would receive a bonus totaling 200,000 euros, rewarding them for the club’s tremendous success.
Speaking to the press, Michalis Bouzis could not hide his emotion, though he sought to… keep expectations in check and emphasize the importance of the league match against Aris.
“A truly wonderful day for us. I want us all to enjoy it, and when we set foot in Crete, our minds should be on the next game against Aris. We’ve been through a lot at OFI; now it’s time to celebrate. I want to thank my father for giving me courage,” he said.
