The new KOA board of directors was officially installed, and the president, Yiannis Ioannou, introduced the two new members, Filippos Tsiattalas and Andreas Christodoulou.
He also welcomed the new Director General, Vassos Koutsiountas.

The announcement: “The inauguration of the new Board of Directors of the Cyprus Sports Organization took place on Tuesday, September 1, 2026, in the CSO’s Event Hall, in the presence of the Organization’s officials.
CSA President Yiannis Ioannou introduced the new Board members, Filippos Tsiattalas and Andreas Christodoulou. Remaining on the Board are Rikkos Pattichis (Vice President), Konstantina Pafiti, Stavros Michaelides, Andreas Papallis, Theodoros Kaoukaridis, and Charalambos Miris (members). He also welcomed the new General Director, Vassos Koutsiountas. He noted that the Organization’s goals can be achieved through teamwork and the support of the staff.
At the same time, he thanked the departing members for their contributions: Vice President Kalli Hatzioannou, who completed two terms, and member Alki Galatopoulou. In turn, the outgoing members expressed their gratitude for the collaboration and the relationship of trust that had been built over the years, wishing the new Board of Directors all the best.
“You leave a big void, but know that the doors of the KOA are open to you. You are part of the sports community and will always be welcome,” said the President of the Cyprus Sports Organization, presenting an honorary plaque to the outgoing members.
It should be noted that the ceremony to install the new Board of Directors began with a blessing by Father Stefanos of the Holy Metropolis of Tamassos and Oreini.
