They faced off again in Budapest; they supported each other and enjoyed another great matchup, but Mondo Duplantis once again prevailed over Manolos Karalis.
The Greek athlete attempted to break the national record he had recently set at 6.20, but this time at the Ultimate Championship in Budapest, it was impossible for him to make that big leap.
In fact, on two occasions his jump didn’t reach the bar, as was also the case in his final and decisive attempt at 6.25.
What he did manage was to clear 6.15, Duplantis immediately cleared 6.20, celebrating wildly, and the Swede secured another victory over our Manolo in Hungary.
