Frosinone achieved the most significant result of Saturday afternoon’s Serie A Matchday 2 fixtures, as it came away with a 3-0 victory from the “Artemio Franchi” Stadium, crushing Fiorentina on the 100th anniversary of the club’s founding!
The “Viola” are off to a rough start this season, with the first two matchdays already setting the tone for the challenges Fabio Grosso’s team will face.
Raimondo scored in the 26th and 68th minutes, with Bracalia netting in between to seal the 3-0 victory.
At Mapei Stadium, Sassuolo celebrated its first victory thanks to a goal by Berardi in the 78th minute, securing a 2-1 win over Torino. The “Neroverdi” had also looked competitive in Bergamo in their 2-1 loss to Atalanta, but now they’ve earned their first three points.
The same was true for Udinese, which had held Como to a 1-1 draw in the season opener and now defeated a feisty Monza 3-2. The visitors at U-Power had taken a 3-1 lead in the first half thanks to Piotrowski, Kamara, and Ekelenkamp. Monza had temporarily equalized at 1-1 through Colpani (37’) and narrowed the gap to the final score in the 63rd minute when Varela scored again at San Siro.
