Just a few hours after the official announcement of his signing, Jean Montero sent his first message as an Olympiacos player, immediately winning over the fans.
The “Red-and-Whites,” in their customary online “good morning” post following major events, published a video featuring their new guard, accompanied by the message: “Did we say ‘Kalimera’? We didn’t… Are we going to say it? Of course! And not only that… We’re also going to sing a song. Not one of ours, but by Jean Montero!”
In the video, the Dominican star sings the well-known chant of Olympiacos fans, “You’re on my mind, something magical…,” sending his first message to the fans of his new team.
Did we say “Kalimera”? We didn’t…
Will we say it? Of course! And not only that… We’ll also sing a song—or rather, chant a slogan.

Montero was officially announced by the Piraeus club during the presentation of the new sponsorship partnership with Superbet, which will appear on the front of the club’s jersey through 2032. The 22-year-old guard signed a contract through 2029 (2+1 years) and chose to wear the No. 8 jersey.
The former Valencia player is coming off an outstanding season in the EuroLeague, where he averaged 14.4 points, 3 rebounds, 4.8 assists, and 17.9 efficiency points in 38 games, earning a spot on the tournament’s All-Star Five.
