It was all his doing… Rodri celebrated Spain’s World Cup victory thanks to their 1-0 win over Argentina in the final at MetLife Stadium. He had the honor, as captain, of being the first to lift the trophy.

At the same time, the 30-year-old midfielder (who has fully recovered from the serious injury that plagued him) had another reason to celebrate. He was named the tournament’s Most Valuable Player.

It’s worth noting that this particular trophy had gone to Lionel Messi at the 2022 World Cup.
