After a long and illustrious career on the NBA courts, Tony Parker decided this year to try his hand at coaching, taking over as head coach of Villeurbanne this past summer, of which he is also the president!
With the new season about to begin in France and the EuroLeague, the 44-year-old coach is preparing for his first year on the bench, declaring his determination to pursue a long-term coaching career!
“It’s wonderful. I really want to do this for the next 15, 20 years. Now I’ll be improving every day. I’ve tried to surround myself with the best people. I’m very happy to have such a staff, whether it’s the coaches or the rest of the staff. I think that in every area, we have people who are motivated and know basketball very well,” he said.
