Torino returned to winning ways, defeating Udinese 2-1 at home in the final match of the sixth round of Serie A.
The home team, which dominated for most of the match, took the lead through Braganza in the 36th minute, but the celebrations didn’t last long, as Ekelenkamp equalized seven minutes later. Abate’s team pushed for a second goal and finally found it in the 67th minute, with Kulenovic sending the ball into the net. In the remaining time, Udinese pushed for the equalizer and, despite their pressure, were unable to find it, resulting in a loss.
This was a much-needed boost for Torino’s team, which climbed to seven points and moved away from the relegation zone, unlike the visitors, who remain near the bottom and are tied with five other teams—Fiorentina, Parma, Genoa, and Monza at four points, ahead only of bottom-ranked Venezia.
