Tottenham salvaged a point in stoppage time at Old Trafford (VIDEO)

United had the win in the bag
ALPHANEWSLIVE

Manchester United had victory within their grasp, but Tottenham wasn’t done yet. With a goal by Dominic Solanke in the 90+1st minute, the “Spurs” secured a 1-1 draw in Matchday 6, despite playing with ten men from the 77th minute onward.

The first half was played at a slow pace, with Tottenham enjoying a slight edge in possession but failing to create clear-cut chances. A shot by Bergwalt was one of the few notable moments, with United keeping their lines tight and looking for space on the counterattack.

After the break, the pace picked up, and Michael Carrick’s team found the goal they were looking for. In the 72nd minute, Cunha delivered an excellent pass to Emboo, who finished calmly to put the “Red Devils” ahead 1-0.

Tottenham, however, found themselves in an even tougher spot in the 77th minute. Bentancur was sent off with a straight red card for a hard tackle, leaving De Zerbi’s team a man down. It looked as though United would hold on to their lead, but the visitors kept fighting until the very end.

In the first minute of stoppage time, Tonali found Solanke with a superb pass, and the Tottenham forward beat the opposing defense to make it 1-1.

Of course, despite salvaging a point in the closing moments, Tottenham remained in the relegation zone, having accumulated just 3 points, while United has 6.
