Tottenham got exactly what it needed, celebrating its first victory in this season’s Premier League with a 3-1 win over Coventry in the match that wrapped up Matchday 7.

The “Spurs” put an end to their six-game winless streak, while also boosting their morale ahead of the challenging stretch ahead.

De Gerbi’s team came out strong and opened the scoring in the 14th minute, with Madison finding the back of the net in spectacular fashion in his first start of the season.

Coventry, however, didn’t give up and managed to equalize in the 48th minute through Rudoni, putting the home team in a tough spot once again.

Tottenham’s response was immediate. In the 58th minute, Marmous unleashed a thunderous curling shot from about 20 meters out, beating Rusworth to make it 2-1—scoring his first goal in his new team’s jersey— while Ben Davies sealed the final 3-1 score.

With this victory, Tottenham puts a difficult stretch behind them and now turns its attention to the big derby of Matchday 8 against Chelsea, at “Stamford Bridge,” aiming to build on their positive results.
