Fiorentina continues to struggle in this year's league.
The “Viola,” despite taking a 1-0 lead early in the second half, saw Torino pick up the pace; as Torino gradually increased their tempo, they scored two goals in nine minutes and walked away with a big road win from the “Artemio Franchi.”
In the first half, the Florence-based team, despite controlling the match, failed to pose any real threat, resulting in a 0-0 draw.
Things changed completely in the second half. With the pace of the game picking up significantly, Fiorentina took the lead in the 47th minute when Matteo Pelegrino found the back of the net.
After that, although the Viola missed chances to extend their lead, they were unable to do so, unlike the Granata, who took full advantage of their opportunities. Specifically, Mandragora equalized in the 73rd minute to make it 1-1, and nine minutes later, Adams completed the comeback. Nothing changed in the remaining time, with Torino ultimately escaping Florence with the win.
This was the first league win for Abate’s team, which now has three points. On the other hand, Grosso’s team sank even deeper, as it remains in last place in the standings with no points.
