The session was particularly demanding and lasted about two hours, with Jacob Nystrup and the coaching staff focusing on both tactics and the players’ physical conditioning.

The “Greens” began with a warm-up and activation exercises, gradually increasing the intensity before moving on to rondo drills.

During this part of the session, the focus was on quick ball movement, proper positioning, and the speed of decision-making under pressure.

This was followed by attacking build-up drills with finishing exercises. The Panathinaikos players worked on building attacks and finishing plays.

Most of the training session was devoted to tactics, with Nystrup focusing on the playing principles he wants the team to implement. Particular emphasis was placed on maintaining proper spacing between the lines, player positioning, and team cohesion during different phases of the game.

Next, the “clover” players were divided into three groups and played a match in a confined space, at a high pace and with intense effort.
The training session concluded with physical conditioning exercises, marking a demanding finale to the two-hour session.

For yet another day, Davide Calabria and Sverrir Ingason underwent therapy.
