The start of the Dutch Grand Prix was eventful and extremely terrifying, with local hero Max Verstappen suffering a shocking crash.
Specifically, the “Flying Dutchman” lost control of his car and crashed at high speed into the guardrails, essentially destroying the Red Bull he was driving.
As expected, the track was littered with debris, and the race officials immediately brought out the red flag, temporarily halting the race.
Fortunately, the four-time world champion, who just a few days ago signed a new multi-year contract with Red Bull, was not injured in the accident, which was extremely terrifying, since other drivers were approaching from behind him—at a narrow section of the track—at very high speed
