Stefanos Tsitsipas will begin his campaign against France’s Valentin Ruayé in a match that brings back not-so-pleasant memories for the Greek champion. The two players also faced off at last year’s Wimbledon, with Rouayé leading 6-3, 6-2 before the Greek champion retired.
If he advances, Tsitsipas will face Félix Auger-Aliassime in the second round, who received a bye. Next, a likely opponent is Artur Rinderknech, while in the round of 16, based on rankings, Lerner Tien awaits him.
As for Maria Sakkari will receive a bye in the first round and begin her campaign in the second round, where she will face the winner of the Rahimova-Birel match.
The Greek player’s path, however, becomes significantly more difficult from there, as she is likely to face Iga Swiatek in the third round. In the round of 16, her most likely opponent is Belinda Bencic, while in the quarterfinals it would be Elena Rybakina.
In the men’s draw, Alexander Zverev is the top seed, with Novak Djokovic in the upper half, while Arina Sabalenka tops the women’s draw.
