A positive development for Cypriot soccer!
With Omonia’s 1-0 victory over Celta, Cyprus added another 500 points to its UEFA ranking.
Now, our country—which has remained steady in 15th place—has climbed to 34,693 points, with 14th-place Switzerland trailing at 30,200.
Thus, Cyprus has taken another decisive step toward retaining its five teams in European competitions for the 2028–29 season.
